We have a range of Confined Space courses available;
- 1 Day Confined Space – BTS Certification
- ½ Day Supervisors Confined Space – BTS Certification
We have currently decided to stop offering City & Guilds, however, if you do require this training, please contact us as we may still be able to help.
- 2 Day Medium Risk Confined Space – City & Guilds Certification
- High Risk Confined Space – City & Guilds Certification
Confined Space Awareness
Duration: 1 day for a maximum of 10 operators
Course Overview
- Understand the relevant legislation covering Confined Spaces
- Understand the importance of & set up the correct systems for safe access & egress from Confined Space
- Be aware of the signs & symptoms of health risks & how to mitigate their effects
- Environmental testing & control – to include gas testing & ventilation
- Emergency procedures & basic first aid procedures
- Safety equipment to include breathing apparatus, its use, testing & maintenance
- The responsibility & actions to be taken by the safety person (top man)
Who should attend
Those persons nominated to work in or at confined spaces.
Assessment of Training
Multiple choice questions at the end of the course.
Pre training requirements
Delegates attending this course should be physically and mentally fit.
Operators who successfully pass the course will receive a BTS Certificate & ID Card.

Confined Space Supervisor Course Content – ½ Day
In addition to the outline above, delegates will be trained on;
- Greater knowledge of the legislation & legal requirement
- Permits to enter Confined Spaces
- Risk assessment of the environment
- Record keeping of the tasks undertaking

Training Location
We deliver the course at both of our offices, Barry & Baglan, Port Talbot. We are also licensed to deliver the training at customers’ sites & have travelled around the United Kingdom & Europe to deliver this training.
