Basic Scaffold Inspection

COTS
This is a 1 day course for those who are new to the Scaffold Industry. This course teaches them the basics of the industry, and how to work safely with scaffolding and access equipment. On successful completion, delegates will be awarded with a Scaffold Labourers Card. 

Pre-Entry Requirements
Delegates must hold a recognised Health & Safety Qualification to be able to attend, there are various qualifications that CISRS will accept, but it depends on which qualification you hold as to the specific requirements. Please contact a member of staff to confirm if your qualification is accepted.

Course Validity
Your Card will be valid for 5 years, you will need to attend the 1 day course again to ensure your card remains valid (if you are progressing to other CISRS qualifications, then they will override your COTS card)

Attending a course
The 1 day course includes a large element of manual handling, delegates will need to be physically able to conduct these parts of the training in order to be successful, if you have any concerns over this, please speak to a member of staff before booking a space.

Scaffolding Awareness
This is a 1 day course aimed at anyone who uses scaffolding as part of their work, or has responsibilities for managing site scaffold operations. It will provide delegates with a greater understanding and appreciation of the potential dangers of working at height on scaffolds, and enable them to identify the core components of a safe scaffold.

Basic Scaffold Inspection 
This 3 day course is aimed at anyone who is responsible for carrying out statutory scaffold inspections on basic scaffold structres in accordance with the Working at Height Regulations 2005. In order to attend this course, delegates will need to have an awareness and experience of scaffold structures.
